Lost Vape Orion Q Aio Pod System Review

The Lost Vape Orion Q pod kit is a super-fast follow up to the hugely successful original and with the Q standing for Quest is the hunt for the affordable high performance pod kit over?

The original Lost Vape Orion Get was, information technology'south fair to say, expensive for a pod kit due mainly to the inclusion of the Dna Become fleck. This new version has a basic flake that whilst 'capable' of firing up to 40w is throttled back to a max of around 17w and there's no fashion on the modern to alter that….kind of!

lost-vape-orion-q- review

Exterior information technology's pretty much identical to the original with but the USB port moved from the base and whilst the Orion Get's pods practise fit the 0.25 won't burn down due to lack of ability – more on that in a wee while.

OK Lost Vape says this is a 'Pod Modernistic For Everyone' and as to if that's true we'll have a look at now.

I've been fortunate to review a number of Lost Vape devices [and bought a couple!] with standouts for me being the Lost Vape Triade Deoxyribonucleic acid 250c – Paranormal DNA250C and the Therion BF DNA75.

Look, Lost Vape are a quality set-up so entering what might be classed as the 'budget market' is a very interesting move – so have they pulled it off? And please note the Q is available in both kit form including i pod and just the battery -and then double check earlier checking out 😉

The Lost Vape Orion Q Pod Kit was sent to me free of accuse for the purpose of this review and as always my thoughts and opinions are my own.

The box is a piddling less shall we say 'flashy' than usual hence the price point:

Central Features

Equally we've already established the Lost Vape Orion Q is the tamed down version of its predecessor the Orion.

There's no Dna Get chip in this one and out of the box it's prepare at 17w – bang on a decent mouth to lung [MTL] setting IMHO.

q pod

The pods remain the same however there only seems to be ane.0ohm coils bachelor at the time of writing.

Having reviewed the original I was able to popular a 0.25ohm pod onboard however as you might expect from the low wattage information technology was unable to fire. Unfortunately I did not have whatever 0.5ohm pods left so was unable to examination those. So I guess that suggests this is primarily meant to be used as an MTL device…I'll come across if that's the case later.

Just similar the original the Quest has adjustable airflow and over again on some pods I've used it is near on impossible to twist – however you tin remove the baste tip to place information technology where you prefer. Once lubed up at that place is some movement however I really did discover them very potent indeed.

airflow q pod

Information technology'southward powered by a 950mAH battery which may not sound much but firing at effectually 17w you lot volition go plenty of life out of information technology…once more more on that later on.

OK information technology comes in a variety of colours and equally yous can see the outside remains the same design wise – simply the USB port has moved from the base [behind that silicone stopper] to the side – which I adopt.

Pattern and Build Quality

As I've just said there'south fiddling departure in the pattern of the Q – then if you lot liked the original but felt information technology was a niggling expensive this half toll version might suit.

One thing I noticed even removing mine from the box was the button rattle – information technology's really quite bad nonetheless this could be due to it being a review sample…let me know if yours rattles considering it is non up to the usual Lost Vape standard.

q pod snap on

Apart from that annoying rattle the residuum of the device is well put together and feels solid in the mitt. You'll take no bug removing the pods then long as you use the 'catch and track' method and do make sure you apply the sliding push!

I really liked the look of the original and the Orion Quest looks just as good so squeamish design a decent build so how does it vape?

How Does the Lost Vape Orion Quest Kit Perform?

On the original I fiddled about in Escribe and establish on the i.0ohm pod 15w was my preferred vape.

On the new Q you tin technically get into Escribe to dabble virtually but I'm sure I saw or read somewhere it is very very fiddly indeed and given 17w is well-nigh enough for a decent MTL vape I wouldn't bother. I might have imagined that lol…

Notwithstanding.

Whilst 17w is a decent MTL setting I found with the Orion Q things tin can get a little warm, especially if chain vaping. The mouthpiece does enough to dissipate the rut however a few times I was pretty sure it would become uncomfortably warm had I carried on taking hits.

And speaking of hits…even with a 1.0ohm coil and that airflow turned way downward information technology felt more than like I needed to have restricted direct to lung hits [DTL] than true MTL. Again that could be downwardly to my vaping style and to be honest I quite enjoyed information technology – but super tight aka 'proper MTL' this isn't – for me anyway.

Prime Hard!

However on the pods and at that place seems to be a whole lot more than cotton inside them. Lost Vape goes to nifty lengths in the user manual telling you to prime them for at least 5 minutes. I would triple or even quadruple that if I'm honest. Whilst I oasis't had a dry out striking or that horrible burning taste I could instinctively tell this one needs to sit for a while to become all that cotton fiber saturated.

More on priming your coils.

Flavour and Vapour Off The Lost Vape Orion Q Kit

I called the original the best pod kit I'd e'er vaped scoring both the flavour and vapour 9.5…and then how's the Q?

Vapour wise it is very good indeed though I'm not sure you'll be winning any cloud chucking competitions. Look it definitely isn't the stealthiest device out at that place and so no vaping under your desk at work!

Season wise information technology felt to me it took a footling longer for it to pop – I reckon that could be downward to the nigh cotton wool ball size wicking! In all seriousness I do recommend priming much much harder than you lot recall information technology needs – allow it sit down for at least 20 minutes.

lost vape q reveiw
cotton overload!

As to longevity of the pods? Lost Vape say anything between 7 to 14 days and I concur. I've used a 50:50 PG/VG and nic salts and am averaging around 10 days before the season dips a little…but it drops significantly past ii weeks use then smashing at all.

Read more than about the benefits of 'nic salts'.

BTW battery life every bit I've alluded to is very very skillful indeed. Using this the past 3 weeks I'm getting a skillful twenty-four hour period and a one-half before the red light comes on with non that significant dip in vape experience either. Charging is super-fast besides with expressionless to fully charged around fourscore minutes.

Pros

  • Corking flavour
  • Great clouds
  • Great toll
  • Decent build
  • Great design
  • Good pod life
  • Great battery life
  • Airflow control
  • Easy to utilize/fill
  • No leaks!

Cons

  • Button rattle
  • Pods take an age to soak in the eastward-liquid
  • Airflow on some tips can be strong!

Final Review Verdict

The Lost Vape Orion Quest kit is marketed equally a 'Pod Modernistic For Everyone' and I estimate that stands upwards.

Information technology is definitely more of a restricted lung hitting even with the airflow virtually shut all the same there'due south just enough brake for even brand new vapers – especially using nic salts – to use this to quit the cancer sticks.

Information technology'south even more newbie friendly given in that location's no demand to claw it up to Escribe to go your perfect setting and that may be an outcome for more than experienced vapers. However for me at least the 'out of the box' 17w and being able to suit the airflow means you can still find your tailored vape without the demand for software.

Withal even the simplest low medium high settings as seen on the Innokin DV kit for example would have been a squeamish touch.

Information technology is a little disappointing when chain vaping equally things tend to warm upwards a little – non uncomfortably so but certainly bordering on too warm. However the vape itself is very shine only the right side of warm and definitely cloudy and certainly flavorsome.

If yous fancied the original but couldn't justify the toll then trust me this ane keeps up on every level – however that push button rattle is I hope only on mine.

So yep I'd definitely recommend this one for the toll alone…and if you've ever wanted to ain a Lost Vape product so now'due south your take a chance 😉
